Pros: A Very Deep Game, Meaty Quest With Lots to Do Cons: Still Costs $34.99 Even Though It Was Released a Few Years Ago
Each generation of Pokemon titles has seen not one or two, but three releases of the same game. The third version always comes later, and while still being the same story in the same world will feature a few slight differences. Recently my Pokemon ...
Pros: simple but deep, high replay value, decent AI Cons: story isn't deep, graphics, spotty sound
I feel really stupid. The original G
ameboy
Advance I bought came with Pokemon Crystal. But unfortunately, I never really played it. I preferred the Final Fantasy style RPGs that blended in a slightly more mature ...
Pros: Cute pokemon, fun and deep gameplay great replay value Cons: There is not much to complain about
Before I got Pokemon Emerald, my favorite pokemon game was Pokemon Ruby. My first ever pokemon game was Pokemon Blue for GameBoy Color. Once I got Pokemon Emerald it immediately became my favorite pokemon game. It is a game everyone can play and enjoy. ...
Pros: Over 350 pokemon, great story and gameplay, high replay value Cons: not many, but maybe the sounds of the game could use some tweaking
Pokemon Emerald is probably the best all around pokemon game to ever come out for any platform. Prior to playing this game my favorite pokemon games were pokemon silver and pokemon stadium. After playing this game for a couple of hours, it instantly ...
Pros: fun, good variety of pokemon Cons: can be irritating and repetitive
Before I start this review, I should mention that I am older than the age group the Pokemon games are usually geared at. I am 18, and my boyfriend who has also been playing these games is 19. I have tried to give a good all-round opinion of the game, ...
Pros: Lots of new stuff, battle frontier, real double battles. Cons: Not linkable with G/S/C versions of pokemon. Certain legendaries are not catchable in-game. Costs 35$
I will start out by saying that Pokemon Emerald will feel just like a rehash of Ruby and Sapphire however until you play through the game and beat the elite 4 you really dont start to see many changes. Do not dismiss this game after just a little while ...
Pros: Gameplay, Dialogue, never-ending game Cons: Sometimes marginal sound, lame graphics.
I recently went to work as a counselor at a Boy Scout camp. One of the guys I was in a cabin with had Pokemon Emerald. I was bored, twiddling my thumbs one afternoon, when I decided to give it a go. The graphics are mediocre, yet they will suffice as the ...

Pokemon emerald: good or great by martymarty1 ,Jan 02 '06
Pros: It has a lot of new things such as battle frontier and match call Cons: It is very much like the previous games ruby and sapphire
Emerald is a fairly good game. A lot of gamers players might find this game a lot like the previous games (ruby and sapphire) but don't think just because of that you shouldn't buy it. I have played and completed both the other games but still cant put put this one down. I bought this product because i enjoyed the other games.
To buy or not to buy another pokemon game by hismiths ,May 18 '05
Pros: Many hours of fun for true Pokemon lovers. Cons: Doesn't hold the interest of casual players long enough to get to the new levels.
I have two boys ages nine and six.
My 6 year old thinks this pokemon game is even better than the others. He's quite happy to have a pokemon game that his brother hasn't beaten before him. I read several reviews that said this game was just like Ruby and Sapphire and then found several more detailed reviews that said the extra levels were well worth the money. Basically it's like familiar ground to the kids they can cover and go a little further with.
My 9 year old played the game for less than a day before declaring it the same as the the last two pokemon games and giving up. This has made the 6 year old very happy to not need to share his new game.
Overall my opinion is this has kept my 6 year old busy through the past weekend, several of his brothers activities and 3 sick days from school. He LOVES the game and has declared it the best ever.
For the older kids who were around when the first pokemon game game out, they will probably lose interest before getting to the new levels.
