These headphones sound great! The sound is neutral and is very clear. I hear things in my music that I could not previously hear before. The only problem is that they need a lot of power to drive them, but that does not bother me because they sound so great! I would not recommend these as portable headphones though. If you are looking for great listening at home, I would definitely recommend these. They are tough and very rugged. Solid is a perfect word to describe these. I have had other headphones that have broken at weak points just from daily use. I doubt these ever will. Overall, I would say that these are a great value and a great product!
