I am reviewing shoplet.com (shopping outlet), a website I found advertised on epinions. They have been in business for nine years, and offer 200,000 products at DISCOUNT prices. What will you find there? I was amazed, but they carry hardware, software, networking products, furniture, office supplies, cleaning and maintenance supplies, you name it. I was just looking for some pens and other quicky office supplies for my house. I am constantly losing, misplacing pens!

The website:

This website is more functional than gorgeous with charcoal and red throughout the site, but offers clickable tabs, as well as drop down menus for your convenience.

Search engines:

You can search for a particular item if you wish, or select by brand. I tried to jot down a list of their software brands alone and there were over 100. Just to give you an idea, here are a small number:

* IBM
* Pinnacle
* Samsung
* McAfee
* Nokia
* Scansoft
* Sony
* Symantec
* Toshiba
* Visioncorp

They have the brand names everyone recognizes, and also smaller, harder to find names.

How do they offer such inexpensive prices?:

Apparently they are very successful, and buy in huge volumes from their distributors, so are able to pass on those savings (plus no overhead as they don't have retail stores). They don't even charge sales tax, except (sorry guys) to residents of New York State.

Payment accepted:

They are very flexible on payment options, and that was not surprising at all. They accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, and unlike some sites, they will not charge your card until they ship your item(s).

You can also submit a purchase order if you are with a Fortune 1000 company, and education organization or the government.

On top of that they will accept your check or money order. Please go to the website for details about purchase orders, or payment by check.

Customer service:

I had no problems, so didn't require customer service, but they are available 24 hours a day.

Other tools:

They have some extras other websites don't offer, such as order management, real time tracking, you can easily re-order products that you need frequently, price alert, supply finder, and even a year end summary!

Shipping:

This company has 120 warehouses, so they can easily get your order to you on a timely basis.

Unfortunately, there is no international shipping at this time, however they do ship all office related products to Canada.

I received mine UPS ground, and it was slightly over $25, and therefore completely free.

Delivery:

I received my package within a couple of days by Fedex Ground. It was packaged carefully, and included my complete order with total accuracy.

My experience:

I found the pens and other items I needed almost immediately. My biggest problem was the huge selection! I ordered some Dr. Grip pens, and they were only a little over $5.00, so a few dollars less than the retail stores near my house. I clicked on the items I was interested in, read the descriptions to ensure it was what I wanted, entered the quantities, and placed them in the "cart". Checkout was a breeze. I received the total, and also was emailed a confirmation.

What I didn't like:

They don't have an 800 number (you can email them however, and they have a number to reach them in New York).

Final thoughts:

I am impressed with this website, and was very pleasantly surprised at how many items they offer, their terrific discount prices, free shipping offers, prompt delivery. I highly recommend this website. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed!
