I wish I had google seached Ritz Camera complaints prior to placing the order

Ordered DVD disks from Ritz through Google checkout Dec. 11th, 2006. After waiting days for the order to be processed because I wanted the items for XMAS, I ordered from somewhere else.
Over the weekend of December 15th-18th, I sent numerous messages through Google checkout and to Ritz cancelling the order because I had purchased elsewhere. On December 21st, I received an e-mail saying that they didn't receive any of my cancellation orders until after the items were shipped on the 20th. Expected delivery date - after XMAS of course.
I called Fed.Ex on the 21st. Fed. Ex told me that they hadn't picked up from Ritz International yet. I received another e-mail from Ritz saying the items were shipped on the 18th and they hadn't received my cancellations orders until after that. Yuh, 18th or 20th. Or according to Fed. Ex they hadn't picked up as of the 21st.
Over the New Year's holiday I had to deal with my shipping location asking them to send the items back to the shipper. According to Fed. Ex and Ritz they received the items back in the warehouse on January 10th at 10:30 in the morning.
On January 22nd, e-mailed Ritz asking how long it will take to issue the refund and got the usual response that my request will be dealt with as quickly as possible. They originally told me it would take 5-10 business days to issue a refund from the time the items were received back in the warehouse.
If you think google checkout will protect you by helping you cancel the order so that Ritz can't process the charge to your credit card when the order has been cancelled - forget it. That is another mistake. Google search "Google Checkout complaints".
I may have to ask them to intervene on my behalf hoping they can help me get the refund from Ritz but I already know that even if I provide them with the Fed.Ex tracking number that show the items went back to the shipper I know they won't initiate a refund until Ritz Camera initiates the refund.
