Pros: Cheap, individual cartridges.
Cons: Noisy, rather slow, expensive cartridges.
The Bottom Line: If you are buying a printer on a low budget remember that cartridges are expensive. Serious printers look elsewhere!
Overall not a bad budget printer though.

| redoncrim's Full Review: Epson Stylus C64 InkJet Printer |
Maybe I have been a bit lucky with this Epson Stylus C64 printer or perhaps I am easier to please. Either way, this printer has worked fine for me about 90% of the time for the last 18 months. It wasnt expensive so I didnt expect it to have loads of features or be remarkable. I have printed scores of photos on this printer and even decorated my sons bedroom with some beautiful pictures printed by this machine.
The photo prints are very reasonable in quality although at odd times I have had a rough one or two. This has happened mostly when my ink is getting low so that is probably why. It comes with a program called Epson PhotoQuicker which enables you to upload your photos from your pc or twain device. It is a basic program. It has red eye reduction, digital camera correction, standard or landscape option, scan to web and a vivid/clear option. Not the best software and pretty basic. The cartridges are easy to change and it comes with the usual Epson help guide for maintenance.
The good points of this printer:
1.It has an internal power supply.
2.It has four individual cartridges. You only have to change the one thats empty at any one time so you can spread the cost a little.
3.It has an excellent and simple set up.
4.Color printing is mostly accurate and what you would expect for the price.
5.Black print has not given me any problems.
The bad points of this printer:
1.The paper feed mechanism is extremely noisy.
2.The ink doesnt seem to last as long as other printers I have used.
3.Ink is expensive but that is nothing new!
4.Paper feeder is limited in paper options - envelopes etc.
5.Pretty slow printing on normal black print. Very slow on color.
So that has evened it up somewhat. It has its pros and cons. If you need a quality photo printer, print a lot and do not have much patience then this printer is not for you. If, like me, you only occasionally print photos and letters then this is fine for the price. It is rather dated now and I should be looking for another one but if it isn't broke dont fix it as they say!
