I purchase Books, and occasionally Cd's from Amazon, almost once a month.
I have been using them for some time, and after comparing prices on the same books on other sites, including Half.com, I have found their prices to be very competitive.
When something looks interesting I mull over the product reviews, which are also done by Amazon customers, and if available I also look at actual pages from the book. This feature is available on most of the books they carry.
So far I have very good success purchasing items with this method.
The items are usually shipped when stated, and come in the condition stated(I order alot of used books/Cd's), they have a feedback section where you can leave feedback for your purchase.
I have also sold items on the site, and have always been paid on the dates specified, they automatically put the $$ in my bank account.
The only thing I am unhappy with is sometimes, the postage on used items, used books are $3 postage, per item. Since they have "free" super saver postage on new items that qualify, on orders of $25 or more, it is recommended to figure in the difference with postage between your new and used items, sometimes you are better of just getting the new item and not paying postage, as you spend less in the long run.
