Optoma DV11 DLP Projector

Pros: in carry case, take it round a friends, instant cinema
Cons: Not having a room big enough to utilise the biggest possible picture !

Both me and 3 other mates ahve all purchased these recently after i got one, they are very very impressive for the price and more.

The picture quality is fabulous, obviously you need good dark room for the best results, but watching in the day with just the curtains pulled is still very good.

I run mine through a dvd/surround sound player and also have the Sky tv and my iMac running through it, though the xbox does get used on here too and is fabulous.

For new years eve, my projector was playing MTV on the wall around 100" in size with the sound through the surround sound, 2 of my mates projectors were then running from my iMac displaying the full screen visualizer from iTunes across the walls and ceiling, it looked amazing, not just fun for films !!!

My brother has another one and finds amusement in playing a tv show from his window on to the neighbours plain white wall which is the side of thier house, making it about 400" for passers by to see !

Pros: Full HD at a low price
Cons: You must have a completely dark room for best quility. No HDMI input.

I have had this Optoma DV11 projector now for about a year.
I must say it is the best Full HD TV you could hope to yet.
I blacked out the windows of one family room and painted one wall white. I have it about 9 feet from the wall and it projects a 120 inch full 1920 x 1080I image from HD cable TV or from my PS3. I also have a 50 plasma TV but the DV11
in so much better for sports and movies. The built-in DVD player is nice, even standard DVD's show well on the 120 inch screen.
