Alpine TDA-7563 Cassette Player

Pros: simple, great audio quality, not terribly expensive
Cons: very small power button (not bad for the only complaint!)

I actually have TDA-7564 -- but I assume that 7563 is very similar model. It is paired with Alpine CHA-1214 CD changer in the trunk (excellent piece of equipment by itself!).
Major reason for 7564 was it's ability to select a disc in 12 disk CD...
